I stayed in the tiny hamlet of Lisdoonvarna for a few days (It's near the Cliffs of Moher). Every September this town holds "Europe's Biggest Matchmaking Festival." The tradition started in the old days when farmers came to town to drink and dance after completing the harvest. Women would arrive to meet the farmers.
