München (Munich), Germany

I took a scenic train ride through the German countryside from Berlin to Munich. I saw some actual Bavarian hops growing in the fields. Munich is much more traditional and less cool than Berlin. It is the home of giant beer mugs and giant pretzels. It is where the women wear dirndls and the men wear lederhosen. The guy in the top photo was out with his family for a Sunday stroll and was kind enough to pose for a photo. The guy in the bottom picture was in a bar drinking a cold one at 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning. He must be a relative of my friend Peter Sitz. :-)
