Masterpiece
Michelangelo created the "David" sculpture in 1504 at the age of 28 (He was only 24 when he created his other famous work, the "Pieta," which is housed in St. Peter's Church in The Vatican). "David" is displayed in the Galleria della' Accademia in Florence. It was moved to the gallery in 1873 from its former outdoor location in the main square of Florence. The sculpture is huge - about 17 feet in height.
